After four years of negotiations, a Free Trade Agreement was reached between the two countries in 2015. South Korea is China’s largest export market for agricultural products. The majority of South Korean automobiles and manufactured products are exported to China. Accordingly, the FTA eliminated tariff barriers on over 90 percent of the goods traded between the two countries.
